Nothing is better than a cold ice cream on a hot summer’s day to cool you off. There are so many ice cream shops in Toronto it’s hard to decide which one to go to but if you’re looking for something more than your average vanilla or chocolate then make sure to head to Moonmilk, where they are serving up some unique flavour with an Asian flair.
Using their unique upbringings from time spent abroad, there is inspiration from Italy, Hong Kong and Malaysia in their ice cream. Some of these flavours include Jasmine Taro, Kaya Jam N Toast, which is a coconut pandan custard swirl with brioche ice cream, Jelly Donut, Sour Cherry, Banana Cream Pie and Coffee & Donuts, all unique flavours that are worth trying.
There are a total of 12 flavours readily available, with a third of them being vegan. You can also grab a pint of your fave flavour if you can’t get enough of just a scoop of it.
The store is also whipping up ice cream cubes, that come with three flavours and have a sugar cone crust, a pretty and fun way to eat your ice cream.
Moonmilk is also a bakery whipping up specialty cakes with flavours as unique as their ice cream. Cake flavours are constantly rotating based on season but include coconut pandan, lemon blueberry, peach sweet tea and chocolate fudge mint Oreo.
Cakes are available in slices but can also be ordered as whole round cakes or even as sheet cakes for special occasions.
Along with cakes, Moonmilk is serving up Moon Buns, which are a milk bread filled with pastry cream and housemade jam, as well as vegan cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth.
If you’re a fan of Asian desserts and have a huge sweet tooth, then make sure to check out this shop the next time you’re in Brockton Village.
